Ukulhas

Ukulhas, one of the inhabited islands of Alif Alif Atoll, is a uniquely featured, environmentally friendly island in the Maldives.

The eastern part of the island glows with a snow-white beach washed by turquoise waters. The beach is the main attraction of Ukulhas.

Swimming and snorkeling in the turquoise lagoon and reef that encircles is one of the best ways to enjoy underwater life at Ukulhas. It's possible to spot a large number of fishes and other sea creatures, including groupers, octopuses, turtles, moray eels, manta rays, stingrays, eagle rays, anemones, jellyfish, lobsters, squid, giant clams and starfish.

Go on a Night Fishing trip or enjoy shore fishing, and enjoy BBQ on the beach.

Water Sports. Canoeing, Windsurfing, Jet ski, Water ski, banana riding are available at a minimal cost. Also the island has a Dive Center

Several simple grocery shops can be found at Bodu magu, island's main road. These shops sell a variety of items ranging from food and beverages to cosmetics. You can also reload your cell phone there. Distinctive kinds of local fruits, vegetables, jams, sweetmeats, homemade sweets and pickles, etc., are available from those local shops.

The island is quite developed with a hospital, school, fitness center, football ground, several shops and cafes
