Situated approximately 35 kilometres south of capital Male City’, Kaafu Atoll’s Guraidhoo is one of three islands that bear the same name in Maldives. However, this quaint island is your traditional local fishing abode, albeit offering a more urban landscape when compared to islands further away from the hustle and bustle of the Greater Male’ region.
Guraidhoo is one of the first island that started souvenir shop business in Kaafu atoll and till today the island has been continuing in going the business.
People of K. Guraidhoo has always been very kind hearted and welcoming always. The island shares a spirit of friendship and hardworking people. These people have always showed respect and welcoming to guests who arrives the island with welcoming feasts prepared since the days of an-sisters.
Overall the island has always been cleaned and well maintained. There are currently more than 38 souvenir shops and 3 guest houses.
