Island Facts:
Island Description
Rakeedhoo is one of five inhabited islands in Vaavu atoll and is the most southern island of the atoll. There are channels on either side of Rakeedhoo, but Rakeedhoo Kandu is the most popular channel for diving and is on the eastern side of the island. It is a deep channel with an entrance around 50 meters
Rakeedhoo island is very small (few hundreds meters side by side) and quiet.
People of Rakeedhoo are friendly people and they care about keeping the island tidy as much as they can. There is a nice beach on the island and a bikini beach
The island is so tiny (in fact it is the smallest inhabited island in the entire archipelago) you get to know most of the people and the hotel owners make sure you have an experience of the real Maldives. So make sure you have the Maldivian breakfast and don't skip the opportunity to experience traditional fishing from dhoni-boat
There are many activities to do but also you can just chill and relax.
While Snorkeling in some areas you can spot Eagle Rays and sharks in house reef
Suntanning, swimming, snorkeling, walk on the beach, water ports, excursions and diving are things you can enjoy while on this island
